The Closing is the eighth studio album by A Life Divided. It will release in Autumn 2026.

With work on the album and the cover EP re:wind happening simultaneously, it's hard to know which studio updates were for which project. The first mention of new music being created came on 27 November 2024, featuring an old studio photo of Jürgen Plannger, in a post to the official A Life Divided Facebook .
A secondary post was made on 18 February 2025 to the official A Life Divided Facebook .
With the announcement of a 10 year anniversary headline concert for the album Human, a small bio for the band on the Spectrum Club's website mentioned a release month of December 2025 for the cover EP. It would also mention a release window of Summer 2026 for the upcoming eighth album .
On 3 December 2025, the "The Closing Tour" was announced through the official A Life Divided Facebook . This hints at a song/album title of The Closing possibly being on the album. The earliest press release for the The Closing tour would confirm the album title and would give a new release window of Autumn 2026.
With the release of the cover album Rewind, a press release would state that the new album would now release in late 2026.
