Reduce Reuse Recycle is the only song on the single Reduce Reuse Recycle by Antitype.
Information
- The song is a collaboration between Antitype, A Life Divided, Wacken, and 17Ziele.
- The project was put together to raise awareness of sustainable development for the world via 17 goals, with the main target of the collaboration being the Wacken Open Air festival. More information on the 17 goals can be found via the official 17Ziele website.
- The concept was conceived during the Eisbrecher's Eis over Europe tour.
- On 5 June 2023, a photo hinting at a collaboration from Antitype was made on the official Antitype Instagram.
- On 20 June 2023, a photo of Andreas Ohnhaus, Rupert Keplinger, and Jürgen Plangger was uploaded to the official Antitype Instagram, teasing a collaboration.
- On 22 June 2023, a post on the official Antitype Fanklub detailed a promotion plan for the upcoming release for fans.
- On 23 June 2023, a post on the official Wacken and 17Ziele Instagrams explained the song, single, its purpose, and a competition, where fans can win 1 of 4 Wacken All-in tickets if they submit a video of themselves performing the track in some capacity. The footage would also be used in a future music video. To assist with the performance videos, 17ziele posted 4 YouTube videos with an instrument of the song removed, with the removed instrument having tabs/lyrics/keys available in the description.
- On 5 July 2023, Rupert joined a Twitch stream hosted by Michael Krogmann. The stream is, as of now, unreleased and deleted. But a note that EisWiki made of the broadcast was that the track concept was not originally taken all too seriously until development furthered on it. The track was also performed live on the stream with Krogmann performing the drums. Footage of the performance and a giveaway was uploaded to Krogmann's Instagram.
- On 13 July 2023, a podcast by 17Ziele featuring Rupert was uploaded to Spotify discussing the track.
- On 27 August 2023, a full recording of an acoustic rendition of the song was uploaded to the official Antitype Fanklub featuring Andreas, Rupert, and Jürgen. Later, on 31 August, a snippet of this video was posted on the official Antitype Instagram.
- From 2 August to 5 August 2023, a Reduce Reuse Recycle stand was erected at Wacken to promote the track and project. Footage was recorded for the aforementioned music video. A snippet of Rupert performing the track live was uploaded to the official Antitype Instagram.

Reduce, reuse, recycle (Reduce, reuse, recycle) Reduce, reuse, recycle Another death, another burned belief Another nightmare becomes true Another picture of a prophecy That burns its way right to you, fool We're on the road to a misery That we've never really wanted to hear It's getting hotter than hell in here And we will keep living in fear, oh no no We're losing ground, hell around Raise your head Hear the sound and make a stand We have our fate in our hands Protect our holy metal ground We keep it clean and safe and sound Reduce, reuse, recycle Before we drown in waste, we fight it And every metalhead counts Apathy and ignorance Pollution fills the air Hopefulness turns desperate Our planet is in despair Mother Nature's pleading cries Shouting out for the 17 goals All that's left is just a very last chance Before the end of the story is told, oh no no We're losing ground, hell around Raise your head Hear the sound and make a stand We have our fate in our hands Protect our holy metal ground We keep it clean and safe and sound Reduce, reuse, recycle Before we drown in waste, we fight it And every metalhead counts Reduce, reuse, recycle Reduce, reuse, recycle Reduce, reuse, recycle Protect our holy metal ground We keep it clean and safe and sound Reduce, reuse, recycle Before we drown in waste, we fight it And every metalhead counts Reduce. Reuse. Recycle
