On 23 January 2024, in an interview with Nightshade, Rupert and Gunnar stated that a few songs had already been finished and in Summer/Late Summer, the album would be finished.

Promotion

Despite making it very clear that the band is a true commitment and not a one-time thing, the first confirmed hint at a second album being a possibility was in an interview with Metal1, in which Rupert said that he already had ideas for the second album in his head.

The first confirmation of a new album was posted on the official Universum25 Instagram  on 17 November 2023.

On 13 March 2024, an announcement of the Die Maschinen wollen leben tour was posted to the official Universum25 Instagram . This potentially hints at a song possibly being titled Die Maschinen wollen leben.

On 5 April 2024, a post on the official Antitype Fanklub  explained that Antitype work had been quiet at the time, due to all members being busy with different responsibilities. Rupert noted his Universum25 album work, as well as his production on Eisbrecher's then-upcoming album, Kaltfront°!.

On 8 November 2024, in a post to the official Universum25 Instagram , it was announced that album production and following tour would be delayed due to scheduling conflicts with the entire band throughout 2025. However, all songs were almost finished, aside from finishing touches and mixing.

On 8 May 2025, the band gave a small update on the official Universum25 Instagram that finishing work on the new album was being started again.

On 24 September 2025, a post to the official Universum25 Instagram  stated that the final touches were being done to the new album.

On 3 November 2025, the majority of album production was declared finished on the official Universum25 Instagram . On the following day, a post to the official Instagram confirmed that drums were complete and everything was finished.

On 16 December 2025, a post was made to the official Universum25 Instagram that everything about the album would be complete by the Thursday, 2 days from upload.

The album cover art would be published on 19 December 2025 to the official Universum25 Instagram .

Around a week after the album art reveal, details of the album would be visible on Spotify. It would reveal the release date and total amount of tracks.

On 15 January 2026, the band would announce that the album would be released one week earlier than originally planned, now releasing on 20 February 2026.

On 17 January 2026, the band would announce the album formats, including the existence of a deluxe version which would include audio from the 2025 M'era Luna performance. The images of the base album would include an image of the disc, revealing the titles of the final 5 tracks of the album.

On 7 February 2026, the final tracklist would be revealed via social media .
