Ewiges Eis is the 15-year anniversary of Eisbrecher compilation. It features tracks from all past Eisbrecher releases and includes rarities that had been previously released, as well as new remixes. It was released on 5 October 2018.
Information
The compilation uses an altered version of Eiskalt erwischt, featuring all-new vocals and instrumentation. There was never any mention of an alternate version of the track.
Promotion
On 27 August 2018, the official Eisbrecher Facebook announced the release of Ewiges Eis, alongside cover artwork and a pre-order link.
On 10 September 2018, the official Eisbrecher Facebook uploaded an image of cover artwork with a release date attached. It is not clear whether the release date was previously known on pre-order pages or if this was the first reveal of the release date.
On 18 September 2018, in an official Eisbrecher Facebook post announcing the release of Black Box One, the JCP website page for the collection showed that the On the Rocks One vinyl included a track labeled Menschenfresser. At this time, this track had not been seen on a previous Eisbrecher release.
On the following day, the official Eisbrecher Instagram page made a post announcing the tracklist of the compilation. This included Menschenfresser and some brand new remixes for Miststück, Rot wie die Liebe, Automat, and Was ist hier los?
On 28 September 2018, a post on the official Eisbrecher Facebook stated that the Eiszeit music video would be on DVD for the first time in the limited edition of the album. Other music videos would be confirmed on later dates.
